Friday

4:00 - 5:00 PM

Bonus Head Start

An optional and informal session for those who can arrive early to town. Get a head start on settling into the creative flow with a centering meditation followed by a casual creative journaling session including insight into habit-forming and memory-keeping.

 

5:00 - 6:30 PM

Meet & Greet

We’ll meet at the retreat location between 5-5:30pm. At about 5:30pm we’ll lead a brief introduction and Stephanie will lead a stretch session to unwind after any long drives or travels. Brittany will open with a preliminary painting exercise focused on letter forms to acclimate to all the art supplies provided.

Creating Space for Who We Truly Are

In this session life coach, Julie Tobi, will assist you in exploring the versions of "self" within us and ways to nurture pieces of ourselves.

Freeing Movement + Gong Meditation

After a short exploratory movement session with Stephanie, special guest Tim Ruggles, offers time for us all to unwind and sleep well by playing the gong. All you have to do is lay back and take in the vibration!

 

 

Saturday

Optional Advanced Yoga Practice

Join Stephanie for a 30 minute advanced yoga practice to awaken the body. For those who wish to break a bit of a sweat. Fully guided, follow-the-yogi style.

7:30 - 8:30 AM

Morning Meditation and Yoga

Stephanie will lead us through an energizing morning flow with emphasis on grounding, breath, and present moment mindfulness.

8:30 - 9:30 AM

Breakfast

Fuel up for a full day with breakfast delights from the chef.

9:45 - 11:30 AM

Freeing Creativity Combined

Stephanie will lead a light yoga flow that will open you to the flow of inspiration within. Guided meditation will help you identify and build your creative energy. Brittany will offer a few simple and attainable art practices that will encourage you to manifest your creativity on paper. Experience the simplicity of watercolor washes, followed by pen & ink mandala drawing.

Our friends from Elk Rapids bistro, Cellar 152, will serve up fresh soups, salads and sandwiches.

How to Hold onto the Feeling

We all know what it’s like... you attend a conference, go on a soul-awakening vacation, spend days at the beach. It has a feeling... Julie will help you hold onto that feeling once we return to the day to day.

Intuitive Painting on Unlikely Canvases

Let's think outside the traditional paper! Brittany will assist us in viewing the natural objects around us as blank canvases, while utilizing techniques already introduced, with new mediums.

5:30 - 6:45 PM

We can't reveal it all! Guaranteed you'll enjoy a creative, fun, and nourishing dinner from the chef.

Mindful Hike

Join us on a hike among the nature preserve. Along the way you will be led in multiple exercises to continue the mind-opening progress and creative flow of the day.

8:30 - 9:00 PM

Gong Meditation 2.0

Tim will once again serenade us with the sounds of the gong – urging all to unwind and sleep well.

By combing all the new freeing components you have gathered through the weekend, Brittany & Stephanie will use this relaxed session to encourage empowerment through expression in a new line drawing technique. There will be free time to explore the portions that you connected with most strongly and open Q&A as desired.
